Stone's Throw Organics ยท Comox Valley
A certified organic farm at 2641 Kirby Rd, rooted in soil health, quality produce, and the belief that food is one of the most powerful ways to connect people.
Our story
Stone's Throw Organics is the result of one long, winding path from a desk in tech to a field in the Comox Valley. Tomer spent years working in technology before the pull of something more tangible, more connected, became impossible to ignore.
That path led through foraging, through seasons of learning to read land and landscape, and eventually to The Sharing Farm in Richmond โ where he honed his craft growing food for people who needed it. When that chapter closed, the next one was clear: come north, start something from scratch, do it right.
"We started this farm because we believe quality food and strong community go hand in hand. One doesn't exist without the other."
Stone's Throw is now a certified organic farm growing vegetables, eggs, and bread with an unwavering focus on soil health and the people eating what comes out of it.
The people behind the farm
What drives us
Soil first, always
Everything starts with the soil. We farm in ways that build organic matter, encourage biology, and leave the land healthier than we found it. Certified organic โ not just by certification, but by conviction.
Uncompromising quality
We grow for flavour, not shelf life. Varieties are chosen for how they taste, harvested at peak ripeness, and in your hands within days. This is food the way it's supposed to be.
Community resilience
A farm is more than a food producer. It's a gathering place, a classroom, a connection point. We host workshops, dinners, tours and events because we believe food is one of the most powerful ways to build resilient communities.
Come to the farm
Beyond the weekly harvest, Stone's Throw is a place to learn, gather, and connect. We offer a range of experiences for individuals, groups, and corporate teams.
Farm Tours
Walk the fields with Tomer, learn how we grow, taste straight from the vine. Tours available for individuals, families, and small groups. A grounding, hands-on experience.
Farm Dinners
Long-table dinners in the fields. Seasonal menus built entirely around what we're harvesting that week, cooked by talented local chefs. An unforgettable evening.
Workshops
From fermentation to soil health to seed-saving, we run hands-on workshops throughout the season. Practical, informative, and always delicious.
